Part 6: Coming to grips with who you are!

We stopped with the Beasley/Brown feud.  We talked about Eliza Thorn who was half Cherokee. Many of the Browns were Native people. We will turn to the Blue family and see how they entered themselves into the picture.

This link is about the 7 clans of the Cherokee. It looks as if Allen or Clara were captured Cherokees of the Blue Clan because they took their Clan name as their last name.

As explained to me by Uncle Joe Blue, this family is Cherokee. The Blues were native peoples. Allen and Clara Blue (Great Great Grand Parents)  worked as slaves on an Albemarle Plantation outside Barbourville on Rt. 20 in VA. They had 7 children. One of these children was George W. Blue (Great Grand Parents.) George married Eliza J. Walker at Free Union Baptist Church in 1895, by Rev. Daniel Brown.  

They had;

1. James R. Blue married Carrie Hazard

2. George W Blue married Ruth Smith

3. Debney A Blue married Rachel Lee

4. Daniel M. Blue married Pauline Keyes

5. Roy L Blue Married Ruth Glenn

6. Joseph E. Blue Married Nellie Beasley

7.  They had Eliza Lucinda Blue (Grandmother) in July 1899 and she died  Dec. 1966. They called her Lucy.  She Married John Brown (Grandfather) born 1894. They were married at Free Union Baptist Church by Rev. Daniel Brown in February 1923.

His grandfather Nick Brown married an Indian Woman and lived in Standardsville, Va. for a while until they moved to Profits, Va. Mr. John Brown lived for a time in Profits as a farmer until he went to war. 

In 1914, World War I started in Europe.  In 1917, the United States entered the war.  John Brown went into the army and to Europe.  John was thrown in with other Black people from around the United States and worked with other people of color around the world. 

Here is where John Brown learned that other people of color saw themselves differently than the people back home.

But John never changed his idea of who he was and passed that information down to his descendants. Uncle Joe (Joseph Blue) never did either and passed down that information to me.

 When I go to Chota, Cherokee, our capital, I always pay tribute to the Blue Clan piller and to the council house, blue section of my ancestors.

Part 5: The Brown Beasley Feud

We talked about Lacey Brown of 1803 and born in Orange County, Va . We talked about the Lacey Brown that founded Stony Point. Now we will talk about Nick Brown that was the son of the 1803 Lacey Brown. The 1803 Lacey Brown  was my Great,  Great, Great Grand Father. He had my Great Great Grandfather Nick Brown who had my Great Grandfather  Lacey Brown II, who had my Grandfather John Brown.  He had my mother Jean Brown Williams.

Just in these 5 Generations, the nation went from walking from place to place, to riding horse from place to place, to riding trains, to driving cars, then to flying air planes.  My generation dreamed of flying space ships and going to the moon.

Lacey Brown and his people came from the direction of Rt. 20 toward the west into the southern part of Stony Point and Free Union. This part was known as "Brown Town" because of the amount of Brown family members that lived in the area.  From what I believe, "Brown Town" covered areas as far away as "Profits, Va."


They were extremely bright and intelligent people.   

The Brown Beasley Feud    

In the Lacey Brown II generation, the Browns were known as good looking attractive men who rode big White Horses.  If this was in today's terms, they would be said to drive nice looking Mercedes or Bentley's.  That presented a problem with families that had nice looking women. In these days, it was a stigma to have your daughter with child without a husband. In the 21st Century, few people would care.  This is how much society ideas have changed in the past 100 years. 

 Old man Beasley had some nice looking daughters that had their eye on the Browns. The Brown boys had their eye on the Beasley girls. That caused old man Beasley to get his gun and open fire on the Brown's when they came around. In response the Brown went home and got their guns. The war was on, firing their weapons at old man Beasley.  Depending on who you talk to, you would hear who won the battle.

In Pulaski, Tennessee, a group of Confederate veterans convenes to form a secret society that they christen the “Ku Klux Klan.” The KKK rapidly grew from a secret social fraternity to a paramilitary force bent on reversing the federal government’s progressive Reconstruction Era-activities in the South, especially policies that elevated the rights of the local African American population.

The name of the Ku Klux Klan was derived from the Greek word kyklos, meaning “circle,” and the Scottish-Gaelic word “clan,” which was probably chosen for the sake of alliteration. Under a platform of philosophized white racial superiority, the group employed violence as a means of pushing back Reconstruction and its enfranchisement of African Americans. 

Former Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest was the KKK’s first grand wizard; in 1869, he unsuccessfully tried to disband it after he grew critical of the Klan’s excessive violence. 

Remember, this is a mixed church. Plus the law in Va. says that Natives and Africans are Negroes.

People in this era called themselves Negroes because this is what the state called them. Many of them knew that they were part or all Indian natives but went along with the national and state thinking.   

Part 4: The Thorne and Brown Settlements

This is the continuing story of the family that makes up Stephanie Ann Williams Tulloch and Amanda Ann Williams III. This is a walk down their family tree from has early as 1803 to today.  These American Blacks and  their descendants are made up of Cherokees, Manahoics, (Native Americans) possibly Benin (Africans), and Jamaicans. The Jamaicans are made up of East Indians.  Native American  (Arawak and Taíno) peoples, and other peoples of the British Empire.  The idea of this series of articles is to explain why this family of 200 years has evolved the way it has evolved.  

We left off in "Part 3: Free Union" and the other two parts explaining the history and geography of the times. We were talking about the first Lacey Brown and Eliza Thorne who came to Stony Pointe and Free Union before and after the Civil War. Eliza Thorne set up her 11 acre farm in the Free Union area near the Free Union Church. The Browns created "Brown Town near Free Union Church and some moved a mile down  the road to a place called Profits.

U.S. Route 29 (US 29) is a major north–south route in the Commonwealth of Virginia. It covers 248 miles (399 km) from the North Carolina border at the city of Danville to the Key Bridge in Washington, D.C.. US 29 roughly bisects Virginia into eastern and western halves, and along with Interstate 81 in western Virginia, and 85/95 farther east, provides one of the major north–south routes through the Commonwealth.

For much of its length, US 29 in Virginia is known as the Seminole Trail. Through Northern Virginia, it is known asLee Highway, except in Falls Church, where it acts as the east/west divider for city streets and is called North or South Washington Street. On April 7, 1993 the Virginia General Assembly officially designated the entire length of US 29 from the North Carolina border to the Potomac River as the "29th Infantry Division Memorial Highway" in honor of that Army unit, which, along with the 1st Infantry Division, formed the spearhead of the American infantry that landed on the morning of 6 June 1944 on Omaha Beach in Normandy as part of the invasion of France to liberate that country during World War II. These divisions next fought their way across France, and into Germany. In addition, the name of this highway serves to honor many members of the Virginia Army National Guard who serve as part of this National Guard Division today. Signs indicating this designation have been placed periodically on both sides of US 29.

Eliza Thorne came down RT. 29 from Culpeper with her sisters;  Maria, Violet, and Jane after they were read the emancipation Proclamation on the Culpeper courthouse steps.  They went to Free Union leaving slavery behind.

Eliza had children by  Mr. Thorne, Mr. West,  and Mr. Walker.  I don't know if these men died or what the status of their marriages were. Eliza Thorne lived to be over 100 years old.  I known that she was the last to die among her husband's. She created three families that still exist today. Some have intermarried between one another. Some married into several parts of the Brown Family.  Some did not know that they did. I found out after I married my first wife.  My Father-in Law told me after he discovered me looking up his family.

The Thorne Property Court Case

 The reason why I know the history of the Thorne's is because of a court case that came up, a dispute concerning the ownership of her 11 acres of property that she owned in the 1980s. She handed her property down to her grandson. He handed her property down to his son. However the son of Eliza Thorne had no rights to the property because it was not passed down by a will or trust. The Grandson of Eliza Thorne had no will. So the court had to go back to the original owner, That was Eliza Thorne so that the court can settle this case from there. 

Now we go on to Robert and Eliza West, the daughter of  Eliza.   Here daughter Mary Etta West who they call  Aunt Et married William Tyree. They are buried behind Eliza Thorne's old house.  Now we are getting down to the names that the current generation knows.  Lucinda West  married Edward Kaine.  They had one adopted child, Edward Kaine by Ed. They also had 5 children between them, Rachel, Esther, Emma, Daisy, and Tucker.   

If you guessed that the descendants of Eliza Thorne and the Browns married into each other's families, you are correct. Many of them had no transportation like we have today. We can go 200 miles in 3 hours. In  1880, they can walk 15 miles in 3 hours. So your chances of getting a mate that is not in your family is small.  

This is the reason why many families live no more than a mile and because of the distance, stop speaking to each other.

I learned when I was an early teen that Space, Time, and Thought are one in the same.

1. Space is the area between point "A" and Point "B".

2. Time is a measure in which events can be ordered from the past through the present into the future, and also the measure of duration of events and the intervals between them.

3. Thought is the action or process of thinking.

You may have heard someone say, "I think therefore I am." You can't think because you are dead, space and time does not matter.  This is why when you die, when you do awaken like Edgar Cayce claims that the dead will rise, will be your next thought.

Faith is a subset of thought. If you have no faith or if you have negative faith in what you are thinking about, you will not be able to function.  Faith is defined as belief with strong conviction; firm belief in something for which there may be no tangible proof; complete trust, confidence, reliance or devotion. Faith is the opposite of doubt. 

For example, if I tell you that you will not amount to anything and you believe me, you will do nothing with your life such as become a scientist, manage a government, or become a brain sergeant. This is what the war between God and the Devil is all about.  This is what your church should be teaching you instead of "salvation sermons."

Edgar Cayce claims that we would see a shift  in the Earth Axis and the Great Lakes would flow into the Mississippi River.  I had that same dream in the early 1990s. A serious one will come changing the direction of the Great Lakes in the future.  It has not happened yet. 

However, just this weekend, Oklahoma had serious Earth Quakes and Washington DC as well as the North East had one in the last 5 years.

He predicts a rise in consciousness and land rising in the Pacific as well as the Atlantic and the flooding of New York and the coasts of the Southeastern portion of the USA

The Great Lakes will empty, directly into the Gulf of Mexico
That means that the seas will rise, significantly
If the South Pole snow and ice melt, that two mile thick sheet of fresh water could cause sea levels to rise 600 feet and that's what is needed to have the Great Lakes empty directly into the Gulf of Mexico
A pole shift would cause the South Pole to be warm again and that means melting of the snow and ice
The Zetas are predicting a pole shift and say we are 7 out of 10 or 70% of the way there
Don't worry, though, because mankind will not become extinct
There are many underground bunkers for the elite and when mankind rebounds, it will be only be the genes of the beautiful people, not riff raff, like you and me
We paid for the DUMBs, but we don't get to use them

Pay attention to number 7. What Is the Shape of the World to Come?

This should convince you that what he is saying is the truth. Edgar Cayce's reading 1152-11 on August 13, 1931. He claimed that the East Coast Line of the United States will change. Anyone can say that some vague prediction will come to pass. But he said that parts of South Carolina will go under water then later parts of New York City.  

Look at the news. This just happened. Part of South Carolina is under water. How did he know this in 1931?

I walked into the test building where they were testing the James Webb Space Telescope. I was not allowed in the lab nor was I allowed to take pictures. This telescope will take the place of the Hubble Telescope.

NASA Space Simulator

A NASA Engineer demonstrating how to take drag out of an electric line. This makes electric supply more economical, saving electric to the appliances. This works in space as well as on Earth.   

This is a centrifuge that test people as well as equipment. 

I talked to one of the engineers in charge of these testing procedures. He calls the testing, "Shake and Bake" They heat the space craft as high as 1,500 degrees and freeze it as low as -250 Degrees. At the same time, they shake the equipment and vibrate it, trying to shake it a part.

An engineer in charge of  "Shake and Bake" told me some stories about private or investor lead corporations that launched ships but refuse to use these services. They ended up with disasters.

After that, Virgin Galactic decided to use NASA's Launch Services. They found that it only took a bolt that was 1/8 of an inch to long that caused the problems.

Part 5: Launch Control Service Centers

As I was following the crowd, I stumbled into the Launch Control Building where I saw at least two control rooms, counting down at least 4 rocket launches around the country. What you see here is a rocket (lower part of picture) ready for launch. At the top of the picture, you can see sun rise on the space station as well as inside the space station.  

You see at the right, count downs of many rockets on pads around the country. Just before a rocket takes off the control room has about 30 people inside, managing instruments in the rocket.  

 Here I was with a group that was standing outside the major Control Room.

As soon as the rocket clears the tower on the launch pad, Launch Control Services takes over the mission.
