You parents can help by looking at the different jobs, look at what the requirements are, then have your child or children work to get the skills needed. Your guidance people at your school can help. 

Yes, this is a long term project, 10 to 20 years out. It is up to you to get them to the point of entry.  I met several ladies and gentlemen that has been on the job since 1980.
